Back in October, I spent an afternoon at the Fruitmarket in Edinburgh working on a commission for the Art Fund, around the gallery's Karla Black exhibition (NB. all artworks featured here are by Karla Black except for image no. 10, Neon Bow which is by Kiki Smith). The Fruitmarket recently re-opened after a redevelopment project and it's well worth a visit. Their café also serves some truly excellent cakes and coffee. Huge thanks to the Art Fund for the commission and the Fruitmarket for accommodating it, as well as the visitors and staff who feature in these pictures.
