Autumn in Edinburgh

I recently explored a new (to me) place on the outskirts of Edinburgh on a sunny autumnal afternoon. It's amazing that it's taken me nearly 6 years to visit this particular area.

The light was hazy but golden, and the autumn leaves are looking their best at the moment.

I photographed this crow sitting on a branch right next to the footpath. I quite like the background of blurred trees in this one, and the off-centre framing.

There were lots of berries on the rowan trees. The colours in this particular patch were gorgeous, with the different shades of leaves, the bark of the trees and the blue sky behind.

It really is a great time of year to photograph leaves. My favourite image of the day is this one of a group of rowan leaves. The colours and natural lighting all came together really nicely. Autumn isn't my favourite time of year (that would be spring) but on days like this, it seems alright...
