In the past couple of weeks I've been able to walk a bit further again; my back injury seems to be slowly improving, which is most welcome. Over the last weekend, we walked into Holyrood Park. I'm still not quite ready for scaling Arthur's Seat but there's a very nice path through the valley which is somewhat easier.
This is a great time of year to visit Holyrood Park, because the gorse is all in flower. Sometimes, walking amongst it, the air fills with a delicious coconut fragrance. It seems random - if you smell the flowers, often they don't seem to have any scent at all. I'm sure a botanist could explain.
I took a few photos of Ali along the way, and the last photo is one of me by her.
