In the past couple of weeks I've been able to walk a bit further again; my back injury seems to be slowly improving, which is most welcome. Over the last weekend, we walked into Holyrood Park. I'm not quite ready for scaling Arthur's Seat but there's a very nice path through the valley below which is somewhat easier.
This is a great time of year to visit Holyrood Park, because the gorse is all in flower. Sometimes, walking amongst it, the air fills with a delicious coconut fragrance. It seems random - if you smell the flowers, often they don't seem to have any scent at all. I'm sure a botanist could explain.
I took a few photos of Ali along the way, and the last photo is one of me by her.
