Towards the end of 2023, I photographed this tastefully decorated Edinburgh flat for my interiors portfolio. I enjoyed the combinations of colours, artwork and furniture that the owners had carefully matched and placed in each room. This kind of photography is a learning curve for me at the moment. I used a combination of flash and ambient lighting to make these images.
While I most often photograph landscapes and nature, I'm also interested in architecture and interiors, both commercially but also in terms of their relevance to social history and cultural heritage. My 2017 project The Limes focused on an abandoned family home in the Cambridgeshire Fens. I hope to find more interiors and buildings to photograph in 2024.
